I often hear people say “I have to lose weight before I try Pilates” or “I can’t do Pilates because I’m not very strong or flexible”.

We do Pilates to get stronger, more flexible, have less pain, and to build the body we want (although weight loss has a lot more to do with what you eat).  Most people don’t do Pilates because they already are strong and flexible.  They do it to become so.  And they keep doing it to maintain and continue their progress.

Living in our body is a journey.  Seldom are we “ready” to start new things that will change us.  But we have to.  This is how we grow and find out how great our lives can be.

With just one session.  Or just one class.  You will feel like you did something good for yourself.

You will have redirected your journey to make your body stronger and more flexible with fewer aches and pains.

One of Joe Pilates’ most famous quotes is “In 10 sessions you will feel the difference, in 20 you will see the difference, and in 30 you will have a whole new body”.

Being consistent in your Pilates practice will have you doing exercises you never thought you could do.

Maybe you have dreamed about doing front splits or a perfect teaser.  You’ll never get there if you don’t try and work toward that goal!  And you have to start somewhere.

So, come as you are now.  And get to where you want to be.
